Welcome to the Bracklinn Singers website.
The Bracklinn Singers; Women in Harmony is a community a cappella singing group for women, based in Callander in central Scotland. Our aim is to provide an informal, supportive and above all enjoyable facility for women of all ages to get together to sing in harmony. We have an ethos of respect and encouragement for individual talents.
All our music is taught by ear in order to make harmony singing accessible to women who do not read music and who may have no prior experience of singing harmony. We aim to build confidence and vocal performance at the same time as having fun.
We enjoy singing a wide spectrum of songs including traditional scottish songs, shaker hymns, pop songs old and new and world songs in a variety of languages. All are uplifting and all are enjoyable.
From time to time we participate in local concerts and charitable events as well as giving informal performances within the community. Participation in any public performances is on a voluntary basis. Those members who do choose to perform all find it an enjoyable and fullfilling experience.
Although we are a small group at present, we hope to grow in number and look forward to sharing the joy of singing with new members.
